Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ popular podcast “Wiser Than Me” is returning with a new batch of episodes featuring interviews with older women.
“Wiser Than Me,” a production of the indie podcast network Lemonada Media, will return on May 6 with all-new episodes featuring guests Jean Smart, Pam Grier, Joan Baez, and Cyndi Lauper. It’s a continuation of Season 4 of the show. The podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon, and other platforms.
The new episodes are “brimming with the kind of wisdom, life lessons, and unapologetic attitude that only comes with age,” according to Lemonada. Louis-Dreyfus will also continue to share personal stories from her life and career – and she’ll end each episode with a conversation with her 91-year-old mom, Judith Bowles.
“What the world needs now is to listen to Wise Women and ‘Wiser Than Me’ is happy to fill that need,” Louis-Dreyfus said in a statement.
When “Wiser Than Me” debuted in April 2023, it hit No. 1 on the Apple Podcasts charts in the U.S. across all categories. The first three seasons have featured Louis-Dreyfus’ interviews with icons such as Jane Fonda, Isabel Allende, Carol Burnett, Patti Smith, Beverly Johnson, Jane Goodall, Patti LaBelle, Julie Andrews, and more.
Apple Podcasts named it the Show of the Year in 2023, and “Wiser Than Me” was named Podcast of the Year at the 2024 Webby Awards.
Among her acting credits, Louis-Dreyfus starred in and served as executive producer for HBO’s “Veep,” starred in CBS’s “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” and played Elaine Benes on NBC’s “Seinfeld.” In total, she has won 11 Emmys and has received 26 nominations. Louis-Dreyfus starred in A24 films “You Hurt My Feelings” and “Tuesday” (alongside Lola Petticrew) and made her return as Valentina in Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” in 2025.
