Offset has had enough of the chatter, and it's time to clear his name of the misconceptions and rumors flooding social media. Essentially, y'all have had him “f—ked up.†The Migos rapper announced on Monday (Nov. 2) that his upcoming album, GMFU (short for Got Me F—ked Up), has a new release date set for Nov. 13.
“Got me f–ked up. For too long I let people speak on my name like they know what it took to get here. I came from nothing to something,†he wrote in a caption to IG that feels more like a rapped verse. “I made history. I lost people. I lost myself at times but always found my way back. I ain't perfect. Never claimed to be. I made mistakes. I made choices I had to live with. And I can own that.â€
Set continued to wear his flaws: “But everything I got, I had to fight for. And everything I've been through made me who I am today. I'm not asking for respect. I earned that. I'm not asking to be understood. Just hear me. GMFU. THE ALBUM. 11/13.â€
The 35-year-old also shared the project's cover art, which shows him in camouflage pants and an American flag over his head, with eye black on, sitting on a stoop alongside a foursome of ballet dancers.
Offset is sounding more motivated in the booth, as he teased an unreleased snippet over the weekend, rapping over triumphant production courtesy of FnZ and Jaasu. “I came to pop my s–t,†he wrote.
The Atlanta native kicked off his latest solo era with “Something I Need†in September and returned in October with the Jodeci-sampling “Every Night,†which features an appearance from Don Toliver.
In between Set's singles, he also reunited with his Migos running mate, Quavo, for “Away,†which landed on Huncho's album QROMELIFE. Fans can expect the reunion to continue as Quavo and Offset are slated to lock in for a final Migos project in 2027.
GMFU serves as Offset's first solo album since Kiari, which arrived in August 2025 and peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200.
